How to hot repair the regenerator grid bricks that have melted into tumors or caused blockages?

The grid bricks of the regenerator are gradually melted into tumors under the erosion of flames and powders after years. Those formed tumors will cause the grids to be blocked or even collapsed, reducethe heat storage capacity and make exhaust gas discharge difficultly, which affects the melting process inside the furnace. At present, the grid bricks for the regenerators of large and medium-sized glass factories in China mostly use fused cast AZS bricks with strong alkali corrosion resistance to extend the life of the bricks. However, in recent years, in order to reduce costs, some glass factories use the petroleum coke powder. But the use of petroleum coke powder as fuel will have a destructive effect on the alkaline grid.

The method of hot repairing the lattice body is similar in all factories. Generally, the fast one is only 24 hours, and the slow one takes about 48 hours. It mainly depends on the burning of the grid body, the connection of the steps of the hot repair method and the coordination arrangement of various tasks.

The following describes the method of thermally repairing the grid body of the air regenerator in an oil furnace:

1.Disassemble from the expansion joint of the slope of the hot repair small furnace, cut a 60-80mm wide incision with an oxygen melting rod, prepare the lower fire-blocking water ladle or heat-resistant steel plate, and cut off the influence of the large kiln flame on the regenerator . If it is a large partition (two small furnaces and one partition wall), two heat-insulating water bags or heat-insulating steel plates need to be installed at the same time. Drop the branch flue gate of the small furnace to be hot repaired to reduce the impact on the hot repair.

2.Remove the thermal insulation brick layer and door bricks of the regenerator door, insert the blocking pipe on the regenerator grate bar, and place the covered iron plate on the grate bar to prevent broken bricks from falling under the grate bar. The hot repair personnel use water guns to cool the grid body and walls. If the grid body and wall are made of magnesia bricks, water cooling is not allowed. Remove the waste bricks while removing the bricks and hitting the bumps. Pay attention to protecting the grate bars with iron plates.

3.After the grid body is removed, check the condition of the grate bar and wash the residual fire rust with water. Only the grate bar with high alumina bricks can be filled with water, and water flushing is not allowed for others. Build a new grid from the inside to the outside. At the same time, you can disassemble the lower door of the grate bar and pick up the dust, but you must prevent the bricks from falling on it and hurt people. .

4.After the ash-pumping is completed, the grate bar is laid and the gate is pulled out, and the sluice of the slope of the small stove is pulled out, and it is lifted several times according to the situation. Generally, it can be completed within 24 hours. Clean up the site after blocking the door, and the hot repair is over. Slowly raise the gate of the branch flue, and gradually heat up to return to normal production status.

Hot repair will cause pressure and temperature fluctuations in the kiln. The longer the time, the greater the impact. After the hot repair is completed and the door is closed, the temperature in the kiln will change. The melter must be aware of it and adjust and deal with it in time to ensure the normal production of the kiln. Connected regenerator. During the hot repair, the melter must keep in close contact with the hot repair personnel to grasp the progress of the hot repair. During the hot repair, a warning sign must be hung up for safety. When changing directions, make contact before changing the fire to avoid burning accident.
